This high-quality propane fire pit is consistently rated as one of the best propane-powered models by just about anyone who comes across it. That’s because this is a product that has a design that can fit into just about anyone’s outdoor decor and will have friends and family wondering how they could afford such a great fire pit. In other words, this is a product that’s sure to impress just about anyone who sees it.This 30x30x25.14-inch fire pit creates a real fire without all of the hassles of the person having to deal with wood ash. It’s a completely propane-powered model that will provide the fire and heat a person would want from their fire pit.

This is a product that features a reinforced fiberglass resin tabletop that’s durable enough to hold up to the elements, and a push-button ignition system that makes the fire pit easy to start. Another thing that we liked about this propane fire pit was that it also came with 12-pounds of blue fire glass that creates an amazing effect when the fire is burning in the square black steel fire bowl.

This fire pit weighs less than 70-pounds, so it’s easy enough to move from one location to another. The propane tank sits inside the unit and is hidden by the unit’s access door. Another thing that comes with this product is a PVC vinyl cover. The vinyl cover helps the consumer keep the unit protected when it’s not in use.

Once a person examines all of these features side-by-side, it’s easy to see how this fire pit stands out among all of the propane-powered models currently available. It’s certainly a model that should last the consumer a long time and provide them with many seasons of lounging around a raging 30,000 BTU fire. And that’s why we recommend everyone take a good hard look at this product and check to see if it fits their needs.

Another propane fire pit that impressed us quite a lot was this one from Bond Manufacturing. This product is one that has a very modern aesthetic to it and can easily be used in just about any backyard—regardless of the decor. It’s a fire pit that looks like stacked stones that has a beautiful fire bowl on top of it. It measures approximately 20.5-inches long, 20.5-inches wide, and 29.13-inches high.It only weighs 63.2-pounds, so it should be easy for the consumer to move it from one place to another as they try to figure out where it fits out best. This product also comes with natural lava rock that helps to protect the burner, although we have to say that the rocks are the least impressive part of this entire fire pit.

This fire pit has a stainless steel burner that’s capable of providing a flame that produces warm light and up to 40,000 BTU of heat. This flame is powered by a 20-pound propane tank (not provided, of course) that’s easy to hook up and is concealed by an internal compartment located directly below the fire bowl. This flame is adjustable thanks to a control knob that gives the consumer control over it, and the flame is also easy to start thanks to a pulse ignition system that makes lighting and snuffing the flame quite easy.

This propane fire pit doesn’t use stone for its construction, however. Instead, it uses a material called Envirostone that mimics the look of stone but is lighter and better for the environment than using natural stone. Most people won’t tell the difference between this material and stone though unless they get extremely close to it. Regardless, it’s still a product that adds a sense of style to any backyard area and adds something of value.

PROS:

  • This product produces up to 40,000 BTU of heat.
  • It has a very modern design to it.
CONS:

  • The included fire rocks could’ve been better.

Another quality propane fire pit that we enjoyed was this one from U-MAX. This is a product that would’ve immediately shot to the top of our list if it weren’t for the fact that this product cost more than some other comparable models. We understand that consumers might not want to spend more money than necessary to enjoy a nice warm fire. Now that we’ve said that, let’s take a closer look at this product and check out its features. Like we said, this is one of the best propane fire pits available, we just didn’t put it at the top of our list because we felt that its price-tag might be prohibitive to most people’s budgets. This product is 43.5-inch long by 27.5-inches wide by 24.5-inches high. It features a fire pit burner that is made from 304 stainless-steel, so it should last the consumer a lifetime. This product’s control panel is also made of stainless steel and helps to make this unit more durable. The outside of this product is made from weather-resistant PE rattan that can be used effectively in any just about any decor. It also should be mentioned that this fire pit comes with a burner lid, a tempered glass wind guard, a burner that has a 2.4-foot propane hose, and a regulator on it, and it also comes with a waterproof fire pit cover.

Like just about any other propane fire pit available, this model uses a 20-pound cylinder propane tank that the consumer has to purchase separately. It also comes with 11-pounds of blue decorative glass stones that add a bit of style to the unit.

Taking all of this unit’s features in mind, it’s easy to see why people may want to spend a little bit of extra money on this product and add it to their backyard. We think that it’s a great propane fire pit, but might not always fit into everyone’s budget.

PROS:

  • It produces a warm flame and 50,000 BTU of heat.
  • It’s very well built.
  • It has a nice design to it.
CONS:

  • This fire pit has a higher price-tag than other products.

A Buying Guide To Propane Fire Pits

A propane fire pit can be the focal point of just about any outdoor space. It’s a feature that allows friends and family to sit around a roaring fire and socialize, and do it without the host having to spend a lot of time starting or putting out a fire. Of course, that assumes that the consumer purchases the best propane fire pit for their needs—a model that doesn’t require a lot of work to operate.

It’s important that the consumer takes the time to buy a propane fire pit that’s easy to use and provides them with something that should provide years of use. Below are some tips that consumers should follow to make sure that the fire pit they’re buying is the one that’s going to work well for them.

Think About The Fire Pit’s Size

The first thing that the consumer is going to want to think about is the size of the fire pit. The consumer is going to want to find the model that fits within their outdoor space and also into their budget, all while serving their needs. If a person has a small backyard, there’s no point in buying a large propane fire pit that costs more money and takes up too much space. Therefore, it’s important for the consumer to weigh their space, budget, and needs against one another to make an informed choice.

The footprint of this fire pit isn’t the only thing that consumers are going to want to think about, however. They’re also going to want to think about the size of the pit’s tabletop. The consumer should at least consider models with larger tabletops because that allows them to use the fire pit as an actual table for their guests to set their drinks or serve food. Of course, for people who don’t expect to serve food or drinks, a fire pit with a narrow tabletop can be the less expensive option.

Think About The Fire Pit’s Shape

Something that few people give much thought to is the shape of the fire pit. That’s because people don’t realize that the shape of the tables has a direct impact on how many people can sit around the fire pit. Round and hexagonal shaped propane fire pits can seat more people than models that are square. For people who need to seat a lot of people around the fire pit, rectangular models are also a good option.

Think About The Amount Of Heat It Produces

When it comes to propane fire pits, not everyone has the same needs. Some people want a fire pit that produces a lot of heat and other people simply want the light of a flame to sit around. If the consumer is looking for a product that produces plenty of heat for them to keep warm, then they’re going to want to choose a model that produces at least 40,000 BTU of heat.

Think About The Fire Pit’s Style

The next thing that the consumer should think about is the style of the fire pit. These products come in a variety of different styles, so consumers should think about how the fire pit fits in with their outdoor home décor to be sure that it’s going to be a good fit.

Think About The Propane Fire Pit’s Construction

It’s also a good idea for the consumer to think about what the fire pit is made out of. In our experience, propane fire pits are made using one of the following materials: Aluminum, Bronze, Cast-Iron, Stainless-Steel, and Wicker. Let’s examine each of these different materials and see what they offer the consumer as far as durability and looks are concerned.

Aluminum

Aluminum is a material everyone is familiar with. It’s a natural material that’s resistant to rust and corrosion and is also very lightweight. It also has a modern look to it much as stainless-steel does.

Bronze

Bronze is a classic material that costs more than other materials but is usually a good addition to any outdoor space. As bronze ages, it develops a unique patina that gives it a cool look. It’s also a material that’s extremely durable.

Cast-Iron

Cast iron is an extremely durable material, but it is also extremely heavy. It’s also a material that’s prone to rust unless it has a protective coating added to it.

Stainless-Steel

Stainless-steel propane fire pits are usually a good option for most people. This material is resistant to corrosion and rust, is durable, and is extremely lightweight. It also has a very modern look to it.

Wicker

Wicker is not as durable as the metals we’ve listed, but it is weather-resistant and has an aesthetic that blends in well with wicker furniture. Unfortunately, it’s also something that requires the consumer to pay special attention to it to make sure that the sun doesn’t fade it out.
