You already knew Wet ‘n Wild was all about THRILLS… but did you know we’re also WILD about education?  In addition to great group discounts for school and youth groups, Wet ‘n Wild offers the new Science Challenge, a self-guided education program directed towards middle and high school students,
at no additional cost.

The Science Challenge worksheet was designed to demonstrate some of the scientific principles that make Wet ‘n Wild a fun, exciting, and safe experience for our guests.  It can be used in conjunction with a day of swimming and fun, or stand alone as an experience for groups opting not to swim. Wet ‘n Wild is open year round, so you can fit the Science Challenge into your lesson plan whenever you wish.

The Science Challenge includes student worksheets, teacher answer key, and teacher evaluation forms and is available both electronically and as hard–copies.  Contact Wet ‘n Wild Group Sales for more information and to book your group reservation, or talk to your Travel Agent or Group Tour Operator.

This program was developed in partnership with the
Florida Academy of Sciences , INC.
, a non-profit organization with objectives to stimulate interest in the sciences, promote scientific research and encourage the diffusion of scientific knowledge. Through the Science Challenge program Wet ‘n Wild and the Florida Academy of Science are working to take science out of the classroom and make learning more fun for students.

Wet ‘n Wild is also a member of the COPUS network (Coalition on the Public Understanding of Science), and we are proud to show our support for the “Year of Science 2009.”

Education is important to us!  If you have ideas or suggestions for Wet ‘n Wild’s education programs, or if your organization is interested in a partnership to develop programs on additional topics, we want to hear from you!  Email us (groupsales@wentwildorf.com) with your thoughts.
